The following limitations apply with regard to the declaration of the accreditation status on the accreditation certificate.
- The external assessment of NIAZ rests on a system of internal surveys in the healthcare organisation. NIAZ surveys the institution on the basis of a self assessment report made by the healthcare organisation itself. The healthcare organisation guarantees that no facts or information are omitted from this report that are of relevance to the judgment given by NIAZ. NIAZ' judgment is also based on this guarantee. NIAZ survey process consists of a random sample of departments and processes.
- According to the general Accreditation Agreement the following arrangements relating to liability rule.
- NIAZ is not liable for any damages the healthcare organisation might incur during the survey process unless in the case of deliberate intent or gross negligence on the part of persons used by NIAZ.
- NIAZ is not liable for any damages the healthcare organisation might incur because of participating in the accreditation program, or by any decision of NIAZ regarding the awarding or not awarding of accreditation status or the temporary or indefinite suspension of accreditation status or the discontinuation on the side of NIAZ of the Accreditation Agreement.
- The healthcare organisation offers NIAZ indemnity against all claims of third parties that are a sequel of the participation of the healthcare organisation in the accreditation program and the decisions NIAZ takes in that context.
- The survey and judgment of NIAZ do not involve the quality of the healthcare professionals or the cooperation within the medical profession.
- The assessment and judgment of NIAZ do not exclude incidents with regard to the quality of healthcare.
- All NIAZ materials are accessible for free to any citizen and to any institution and they may freely be used for any reasonable purpose. Organisations that as their business survey other organisations are asked for a contribution in the development costs. NIAZ accepts no liability for the use of its materials.
- No rights may be derived from the content of this website.
